My City

As I enter my fourth and final year of studies at McGill I thought I should put together a little page with my favourite spots and things to do in Montreal. I truly do love this city. It's great to be a student here and I know I'm going to miss it when I leave. With that said, here is a list of my favourite things about Montreal.

Food:
  • BAGELS (obviously) : St. Viateur Bagel is the place to go to get 'em
  • Kazu: crazy, tiny Japanese restaurant around the corner from Tupper
  • Patisserie Belge: Katie, Kinsey and I used to have croissants every Sunday morning on our way to church
  • La Banquise: the best poutine in the whole wide world
  • Schwartz's Deli: famous for its smoked meat sandwiches
  • YEH!: a favourite place for frozen yogurt with all the toppings
  • Reuben's: more smoked meat but sit down and fancier
Shopping:
  • 1861: the cutest clothing store in the world
  • Browns: shoes, shoes and more shoes!
Things to do:
  • walk up the mountain: especially in the fall with all the leaves changing colour
  • Parc Lafontaine: skate here in the winter!
  • Jeanne-Mance Park: volleyball, soccer, tennis, baseball...
  • Old Town (Vieux Port): fireworks, art galleries, restaurants, jugglers and unicycles
  • Atwater Market & Jean-Talon Market
  • Science Centre, Biodome, Botanical Gardens, Olympic Stadium
  • Place Des Arts: Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs...
  • Lachine Canal: long runs and bike rides, paddle boating and more!
  • St. Joseph's Oratory
  • study at the Atwater Library and the Westmount Library
The Little Things:
  • buskers along St Catherines (and in the metro)
